Today is a big day for Fancy! Its the official launch of my own hats. Looking back to July 2014, I remember calling my mom and best friend telling them I had this idea to cover the hat band on my favorite hat. If I could sew up a band to cover the current band of my hat, I would have unlimited options to wear the hat with various outfits, swimsuits, etc. I decided to go to the fabric store and when my husband came home from work I shared the idea with him and he gave me his support.  It took me roughly 11 months to perfect my prototype.  It was like a math experiment but with fabric and precise accurate measurements needed. After perfecting the hat bands I decided it was time to start design my own hats, but first I needed to learn about the industry more and resell hats and see what the customer wanted and didn't want.  After selling for a few months I decided it was time to travel to various cities and find a manufacturer to make my hats.  I was lucky to find the best hat manufacturer in the country.  It was important to me to continue to keep my brand American Made.

My hats are finally here and the website has relaunched.  I hope that Fancy Fedora continues to grow and expand into retail stores all over the world, and that we continue to grow our website and our store on Amazon. Thanks to my husband and kids for supporting me with my long days and nights working and not being the stay at home mom that I used to be, and to the rest of my family and all my friends.  Especially my mom who has and always will be my biggest cheerleader. Thanks to UC law ECDC for giving me awesome legal advice and guiding me in the right direction and to Amy, Randy, Ryan, and Jeremy for the great website and pics! Can't wait to exhibit Fancy Fedora at WWDMAGIC in Vegas this February.  Looking forward to seeing what evolves with Fancy over the next year!
